    6. Busnell Radar Speed Gun = Grant funds received – I’ll be taking PNP Radar class

    7. Promotional items (calendars w/WP/GS Blockwatch info and Crime Stop number) = Grant funds received. Will be distributing Dec/Jan. Volunteers are requested.

    8. Rental Storage Unit – for ONLY Block Watch items – went up from $94.67 to $118.33 which means the WP/GS Block Watch is in the hole $231.96 and at a later date I will need to reallocate funds to cover the increase.

    9. The GAIN Event usually takes place in October but this year is unknown. If it is a go I would really appreciate some volunteers to help out. And it would mean GS would need to help with price of food/beverage. Maybe a head’s up at GS HOA Meeting.

There have been some allegations on social media for many months now concerning me, my handling of Grant Funds and not paying vendors. This is my reputation getting trashed and it has to stop.

What you may not know is when the Grant Funds are dispursed they go into a checking account. We are prohibited from withdrawing cash or getting a check card. For those items I need to send away for or order online, I must use other funds. Back in 2008 it was my personal credit card.

Which could get dinged waiting for reimbursement. WP HOA has contributed funds for food for the GAIN Events in the past and got tired of my requests and now auto deposit those funds into the Block Watch Petty Cash AlaskaUSA Fed CU. I use that debit card for online purchases for the Block Watch and then a check is written to me, signed by the Treasurer and deposited back into the Petty Cash. Receipts are kept in both the Grant Fund binder for that year as well as the Petty Cash binder. I have never and would never pocket Grant Funds and resent the insinuations.

All steps in the Grant Application process are meticulously checked and double-checked by me & the Treasurer as well as the Grant Committee. There are pages to complete and lists of acceptable and non-acceptable items. Anything that appears on our Grant Applications from 2008 to the present have been checked and re-checked and approved by the Grant Committee. If either HOA was not included as a Co-Applicant it was because they did not need to be.

I have been accused of doing nothing for crime but keep the Weston Park/Grayson Square Block Watch up to date on crime, Classes, and Events in our area via Nextdoor, email, by Newsletters and also our website. Some believe this to be overkill and of no interest. Since there are 558 homes, not everyone gets their updates the same nor do they require the same information. There are some who are on Nextdoor or have email and some have neither. The Newsletters reach everyone. If there is repetition at times I am sorry. If anyone wishes to contribute ideas on topics, please feel free to contact me. We have had people contribute in the past.

I used to be able to contribute more GS appropriate news but the people have moved. I you wish to supply that info it will be included also. The landscaping article approved by WP HOA that has appeared several times is to let WP residents know it is coming so if they need to replace a tree and 5 bushes they have advance warning as it can be costly.

The Security lights in Weston Park were purchased by Weston Park HOA and have nothing to do with Grant Funds.

I’m going to be blunt. People who do not attend either an HOA Meeting or our Weston Park/Grayson Square Block Watch Meetings and find out for themselves how it works should not make unfounded accusations or help to spread same. Nor about vendors used with Grant Funds. The Weston Park/Grayson Square Block Watch has never not paid a vendor. Another vicious lie.

Hopefully going forward we can work together to make the Weston Park/Grayson Square Block Watch better. I’m not the only one who can call and report crime.
