Rita Jensen- Chairman

Weston Park Grayson Square Block Watch Report May 1, 2014

Financial statement

The last Block Watch meeting was held on Saturday morning March 15, 2014. Muffins, cinnamon rolls and juice were served. Not the turn-out expected. It was discovered after the fact that there was and is an issue with both outgoing email programs, though electronic Newsletters only go to 30%. Will try a breakfast meeting again. Items not used previously are being held in cold storage.

An Ice Cream Social was suggested for Saturday April 26, 2014. Arrangements were made to also have a water slide for the tots and sprinklers available for the older kids. Due to problems with email and no volunteers available this has been rescheduled for Saturday May 17, 2014. Dustin has been notified of scheduling change.

John Jensen and Rita Jensen were invited (along with other Phoenix Neighborhood Patrol members) by the Phoenix Police Department to an Appreciation Luncheon last month.

Would it be possible to receive a balance sheet or some sort of an accounting of funds set for use by the Block Watch? Is a certain dollar amount set aside each month or each year? This would help in plans for future Block Watch activities.

I note that the Board Meeting time is still listed as 7:00PM on the Weston Park HOA at a Glance

page of the http://www.westonparkhoa.com/MemberDefault.aspx website.

The Neighborhood Block Watch (NBW) Oversight Committee has said the 2013 Grant Funds for the Weston Park / Grayson Square Block Watch only cover 1 hour for the Balloon Artist and 1 hour for the Caricature Artist at $150.00 for each. I have been advised I need to attend their meeting May 1, 2014 and explain why 2 hours is needed for each artist.
